An Amazing Bridal Undergarment - The Flattering Me Bra

Many brides are so focused on finding the perfect wedding dress, the items that you are needed to go along with that dress are often an afterthought. We aren't talking about the jewelry or headpieces today, but the garments that you will need to wear under your gown. Just because no one will be seeing it doesn't mean that it's not a very important piece of your wedding day wardrobe.

Our South Florida Bridal Salon understands the importance of a quality undergarment to make your wedding gown look its best. As a matter of fact, Angelus Bridal & Formals carries the most amazing strapless bra on the market - The Flattering Me Bra

A wedding dress often requires a very specialized bra. Many women have trouble finding the right one. We used to hear complaints like: "There's no support." There's no cleavage." They're not comfortable." "This one shows through my gown." Well, our owner, Coco Abadi, truly listened to all of these brides and made a plan for solving this dilemma.

Coco spent months developing the perfect longline strapless bra that is not only comfortable, but works beautifully with nearly any wedding dress or special occasion gown. The design is smooth and does not show through most gowns. It contours the bodice and works tremendously well for gowns with low backs. Four colors are available: black, ivory, nude, and white.

The Flattering Me Bra comes in a variety of sizes, from "32A" to "52F" in both "Standard" and "Petite." Often, the petite brides are forgotten about, and this is the first one available to those particular customers. Removable push-up pads come with each bra for the ability to customize the amount of cleavage desired. Her is what a few of our past customers thought about this bra.

"I have a bizarre size (34F) and can't ever find a good strapless bra. This one is great! Super supportive, stays put, and is comfortable. Good range of sizes too. Highly recommend!" ~Amazon review by Soccer Chick

"It's perfect, I love the way it is shaping my waist, bust, & belly. It is wonderful, thanks" ~ Amazon review by Dixi

"I needed a corset for my strapless wedding dress that I could use for future events (so an all white corset with frills was out of the question). I was surprised by the comfort and sleekness of the corset--and the firmness of the materials! I didn't want something flimsy and I was happy to find out that this is one of the best corsets I own now because of the quality of the product as well as the long-term wear investment. Great buy!" ~Amazon review by Alexandra Edgeworth

The Flattering Me Bra is the world's best longline strapless bra, offering real support, natural cleavage, and incredible comfort. Everything that you could possibly need to make your wedding dress fit the way it was meant to. Our Pompano Beach wedding dress store can show you exactly how amazing this product is. Angelus Bridal & Formals is very proud to be able to offer this amazing undergarment. You can look your best and be comfortable all day long at your wedding with the Flattering Me Bra.

How to Choose the Perfect Wedding Day Hairstyle

It can be difficult to decide which wedding day hairstyle is the best one for you. There are so many different beautiful options, you may not know where to start. Angelus Bridal & Formals has a few tips to make sure that you end up with the look that is perfect for you.

Choose your wedding dress first.

It's easiest to find a hairstyle that matches your dress rather than doing the search the other way around. Start out by finding your dream wedding dress, pick out the perfect accessories that will work the best with it, and then begin looking for hairstyles. The dress style that you wear is a great deciding factor on whether your hair should be up or down. It is very important that your hair and dress work together, complementing each other to enhance your natural beauty.

Start researching.

Once you have the perfect dress, it is now time to start scouring magazines and Pinterest for hairstyles. Focus on looking for pictures that feature dresses similar to the one you have chosen, and save the hairstyles that you think look the best. Pick a few different ones for your stylist to try.

Be flexible.

Remember that everyone's hair is not the same. The hairstyle that you end up using will need to be one that your hair can handle. At the end of the day, you want a hairstyle that will look as close to the way it started out as possible. Pick a style that will last all day. Lots of curls may not work well with thin, straight hair, and unless you want to pay for extensions, don't set your heart on flowing locks if you have short hair.

Comfort is key.

You can leave your stylist's chair with the most exquisite hairstyle that has ever been designed in the history of hairstyles, but if you can barely move without it falling down, is it really worth the trouble? Beauty is important, but so is comfort. Weddings are an all-day event, so don't choose a hairstyle that isn't comfortable to move around in. Consider the time of year and the expected temperature and other weather elements, and whether you will be mostly indoors or out.

Show off your personality.

A special occasion calls for a special look, but don't go overboard so much that you are barely recognizable. Just like with your makeup, a wedding day hairstyle should reflect who you truly are on a daily basis, only with a little extra flair.

Book a trial run.

Schedule a time for you stylist to practice a few different looks on you. Go in with ideas of your own, but trust their expertise too. Let then try some of their own suggestions, and you could be happily surprised. Don't forget to check the hairstyles from every angle. They will all be captured at some point in photos.

This trial run is also a great way to get a feel for exactly how long your hair will take on the wedding day and help with your getting-ready routine.  If you don't have a regular stylist in mind, audition a few.

Our South Florida bridal store has the most exquisite tiaras, veils, and other hair accessories to beautifully complement your wedding dress and any hairstyle that you decide on. We have worked with many wonderful brides over the years and seen many different looks. The experienced consultants at Angelus Bridal & Formals are happy to answer any questions that you might have about your wedding day style and offer quality advice. Your wedding day is important to you, and you are important to us.

5 Tips For Finding The Perfect Quinceanera Dress

Angelus Bridal & Formals, Pompano Beach, South Florida, Quinceanera DressesAngelus Bridal & Formals talks about our beautiful bridal gowns a lot, but we also have an extensive selection of amazing dresses for young women. The best Quinceanera dresses in South Florida can be found in our special occasion gown store. Whether she is turning 15, sweet 16, or searching for that perfect prom dress, we have just what you are looking for.

Buying a dress for a Quinceanera or other special occasion is not something one does often. Following these tips can make the entire process of finding that perfect gown a lot easier.

1 - Do a little research.

Browsing through prom magazines and searching dresses online can help you to narrow down the styles that you like the most. This can also make explaining the type of dress that you are looking for an easier process and cut down on shopping time and confusion.

2 - Choose your trusted advisers.

The final decision should always be yours, along with the person paying for the gown, but having friends and family along to assist with that decision can be both helpful and fun. Pick people that have a positive attitude and always have your best interests at heart. Keep the group limited though. Too many opinions can make decisions harder rather than easier.

3 - Make an appointment.

Once you and your crew pick a date, call Angelus Bridal & Formals and make an appointment to try on dresses. Having an appointment ensures that you will receive the consultant's undivided attention while you shop. No waiting in line for a dressing room or some assistance. The entire time that you are there will be about you and only you.

4 - Ask lots of questions.

You never know if you don't ask. Buying a special occasion dress may be new to you, and the more information that you have, the more likely you are to locate that dream dress. The consultants at Angelus Bridal & Formal are experts at what they do, and their advice could save you lots of time and worry.

5 - Try on different styles and colors.

Angelus Bridal & Formals, Pompano Beach, South Florida, Quinceanera DressesYou will most likely go in to your appointment with a certain dress in mind, especially if you have done your research, but don't limit yourself to only one style. The same dress can look completely different on different body types. Your consultant will have experience with outfitting many different women, and she should be able to guide you in a helpful direction. It may not be your first choice on a hanger, but once you put that dress on, it could look completely different and incredible. Keep an open mind until you see what you look like in it.

Our South Florida Quinceanera dress store is here to make sure that your shopping experience is an amazing one. We have many different dress styles in a rainbow of brilliant colors that will look stunning on any young woman. We would love to have the chance to show you all of the exquisite designs available at Angelus Bridal & Formals. Call us soon and get your appointment on the calendar.

5 Helpful Tips for Choosing Your Wedding Rings

Buying a wedding dress in South Florida will not be the only fashion purchase that you will need to make for your wedding. There is one very important piece of jewelry that you and your future husband will need to buy. Angelus Bridal & Formals has a few helpful tips to make the search a little bit easier.

Decide on a ring budget.

You will wear your wedding band "til death do us part," so this is one area that you shouldn't skimp. When you are planning your wedding budget, make a place in it to include your wedding bands. Some suggest that you should set aside 2-month's salary for an engagement ring, and 1-month's salary for the bands. If this simply isn't possible for you right now, decide on a simpler ring that you love the look of and plan to upgrade on a special anniversary in the future.

Shop early.

Much like wedding dresses, many wedding bands must be special ordered once you choose your favorite. If you want to have something personal engraved inside the band, that will take some time too. This is one item that you know you absolutely have to have, so you can begin looking for rings right away, but don't wait much later than 6 months before the wedding day to take care of this task.

Shop together.

It is always nice when a bride and groom have rings that complement each other. Make your search for the perfect wedding bands a special activity that you can do together. Start your shopping at the store where the engagement ring was purchased. They may offer you a discount.

Choose a ring material.

You will want to pick out a metal that matches, or at least works with, your engagement ring. Different metals wear differently over time also. The following metals are popular choices for wedding jewelry and can be re-sized should the need arise.

  • Gold: Available in white, yellow, or rose, gold is a popular metal for wedding jewelry. Buffing your ring will keep it shiny and smooth.
  • Sterling Silver: This is the most affordable of the precious metals. It is actually pure silver mixed with copper to make it more durable, but it can still get scratched easily.
  • Platinum: While extremely durable, it will wear and scratch over time. A polishing by a jeweler will remove blemishes.
  • Silver & Gold: If you cannot decide, or if you wear a lot of different colors of jewelry on a regular basis, a ring with the combination of these two is the perfect solution.

Consider comfort and lifestyle.

As we already mentioned, you will be wearing these rings on a daily basis for many years to come. If you are an extremely active person and worried about a bulky ring getting knocked around a lot, a simpler band may be the best choice for you. Try on lots of different styles so that you get an idea of how comfortable it will be on your hand.

Angelus Bridal & Formals wants every bit of your wedding planning process to be an enjoyable and memorable occasion. When you visit our South Florida bridal boutique, we will pamper and spoil you while you search for your dream wedding dress. Follow the tips above for finding your wedding bands and that task should go wonderfully too.

Wedding Dress Stain Tips & Quick-Fixes

You want everything to go perfectly on your wedding day. The best way to assure that this happens is to prepare for any possible mishaps before they have a chance to happen. Our South Florida bridal store has heard a few stories about wedding dresses that end up having something spilled on them while the bride is getting ready, and others about makeup smudges from all those well-wishing hugs and kisses from guests.

There are some precautions that you can take to avoid stains altogether, and also a few things that you can have stashed in your emergency kit in case the unthinkable happens. Angelus Bridal & Formals wants you to be prepared so that a surprise stain is only a minor inconvenience rather than a major disaster.

Preventing stains ahead of time.

Before the wedding day, keep your wedding dress in the closet, in its bag, away from everyone. The less you take it out, the less likely someone's dirty hands have a chance to smudge it. Only take it out if absolutely necessary. Make sure your hands are clean and there is nothing nearby to knock over and spill. If you are trying it on, avoid sitting down. Put it safely away as quickly as possible when you are done.

When you are picking out your menu for the reception, if you are worried about stains on your gown, avoid choosing messy foods and foods that are heavily sauced. White wines also do a lot less damage than reds.

Putting on your bridal gown should be one of the very last things that you do when getting ready on the wedding day. Eat and have your coffee, juice, or any other beverage other than water while you are still wearing your plain clothes. It won't hurt anything if you spill on those.

Quick fixes for stains.

If you happen to get something on your wedding dress before or during the wedding, having a few quick-fix tricks waiting in your dressing room can save the day. First of all, if the stain is small and inconspicuous, it's probably best to leave it alone and let the professionals handle it after the wedding.

In your emergency kit, be sure to pack the following items:

  • white cotton towels
  • white chalk (or a similar color to your dress)
  • baby powder
  • stain removal pen
  • rubbing alcohol
  • cotton swabs
  • cotton balls
  • bar of white soap

Always blot a stain, never rub. Rubbing can cause it to spread or go deeper into the fabric. Use a white towel to soak up what you can. If the stain is oil-based rather than water soluble, first sprinkle it with talcum powder to soak up the oil, then blot it with the white cloth.

If you must use any type of cleaning solution on the material, first test a small spot on the underside of the hem to make sure the stain remover will not harm the dress.

Spot-treat beginning at the edges of the stain and work your way in. This will help to keep it from spreading. Cotton swabs are wonderful for applying only a small amount of cleaning solution at a time.

Chalk can sometimes cover up a small stain, and, like the baby powder, it can help to absorb oily stains. Rubbing alcohol is also helpful in tackling oily food or grease.

Like we mentioned earlier, a little prevention goes a long way. Keep your wedding dress safe before you absolutely have to put it on, and plan ahead for any possibility so you are ready if it happens. Angelus Bridal & Formals wants our brides to to be their very happiest on the wedding day. We will do everything that we can to help you be prepared.

6 Tips for Choosing Your Perfect Wedding Colors

A major decision that you will make while planning your wedding is the color scheme. This color will be featured in many different areas throughout the event, so you want to make sure that you pick one that both of you love. The flowers, the table decor, the bridesmaid dresses... there are a multitude of places to highlight a special color.

With the rainbow of color combinations possible, deciding on one could seem like an overwhelming task. Here are a few tips from Angelus Bridal & Formals to make it easier for you.

Turn to your favorites.

Nearly everyone has a favorite color. If you and your future spouse have the same favorite color, then this could be a very simple decision. If you need to branch out beyond your main favorite color, think about ones that inspire you or make you feel a certain way.

Use color to set a mood.

Colors can evoke different feelings. This is a great way to set the mood for the type of wedding you want to have. Soft pastels bring on a dreamy, romantic tone, while bright, vibrant colors may feel more like a party. If your wedding will bring the outdoors inside, then earthy, natural colors will work well.

Consider seasonal hues.

If flowers will be a large part of your wedding decor, lean toward using colors inspired by the flowers that are in season when you are getting married. Look at other seasonal themes for inspiration too. Fall weddings could feature the colors of pumpkins and changing leaves, or a Christmas wedding might be done in reds and greens or silver & gold.

Take cues from the venue.

The venue that you book for your ceremony and reception should have some influence on the colors that you choose. You don't want to clash with the decor that is already set in the room. If the place has a very strong color theme of its own, look for colors that work well with them.

Be inspired by other weddings.

Current wedding trends are wonderful for inspiring ideas. Browse through other weddings online and in magazines. Notice which ones you gravitate towards. If all of your favorites have the same general color scheme, then that may be the color you should go with.

Turn to the color wheel.

Once you've decided on your main color, pull out that color wheel that you learned all about in elementary school. This is a great way to see which accent colors work well together. Play with a few combinations before setting your heart on only one.

One place in particular that your wedding color will most likely be featured is on your bridesmaids. Our South Florida bridesmaid dress store is filled with gorgeous gowns in a wide variety of beautiful colors. Let us know what you have in mind and we will find the perfect dresses to compliment your wedding. Angelus Bridal & Formals has worked with every color imaginable, and we know exactly how to find the right dresses for you.

Find the Perfect Bridal Bouquet for your Wedding Dress

The bridal bouquet that you carry on your wedding day will be influenced greatly by the type of bridal gown that you have chosen. Angelus Bridal & Formals can offer a little advice on your beautiful blooms once you have found your dream dress.

Show the florist your dress.

Your bridal bouquet should complement your gown, not overshadow it. Letting your florist see a photograph of the wedding dress will help them to design something that flatters your wedding day look. If you can provide them with a swatch of your gown, as well as your bridesmaid's dresses, even better. The more a florist knows about your style, the easier it is for them to create the perfect bouquet.

Consider the dress's details.

If your wedding dress has a simple front and the train is the feature, then you may want to dress up the front with a more extravagant bouquet. On the other hand, if the front of your dress hosts the exquisite details that you would like for everyone to notice, you will want a small, simple bouquet that does not distract from it. Your florist should be able to take elements from your dress and match them with your flowers.

Incorporate special touches.

Use your bouquet as a place to add a sentimental touch. Flowers that invoke happy memories from your past are wondreful, such as a bloom that your grandmother grew in her garden or the first flower that your future husband gave to you. Family heirloom brooches also look lovely incorporated within the flowers or pinned to the handle of your bouquet.

Find out what is in season.

A very important question to ask your florist is what flowers will be in season on the day of your wedding. It would be a shame to get your heart set on a particular bloom only to find out that it is not available. If it is out of season in your area but can be ordered from elsewhere, it may cost more than you want to pay. Every season features its own gorgeous flowers, so you should have no trouble finding something that you love any time of the year.

Be comfortable.

Choose a design that is not awkward to hold. You will be carrying it with you for much of the day, so you don't want it to be too bulky or awkward. When you head down the aisle, grip your bouquet with one hand and hold it below your hip, slightly away from your dress. This will allow your shoulders to remain relaxed and open, improving your posture and allowing for very natural-looking photographs.

Angelus Bridal & Formals is a one-stop bridal shop. We have an in-house florist that is an expert at finding the perfect bouquet for any wedding dress. Make an appointment to shop in our South Florida bridal salon and let us help to make your wedding day as beautiful as the love the two of you share.
